Greece introduces a tourist tax

❗️ Please note that as of 01.01.2024, a tourist tax is being introduced in the territory of Greece, which involves payment of the “Climate Crisis Resilience Fee” (fee for resilience to the climate crisis).

‼️ Tourists are obliged to pay the tourist tax independently at the hotel of their stay.

? The tax amount correlates depending on the hotel level and applies during the period from March to October:

Hotels ⭐️-⭐️⭐️ – 1.5 €

Hotels ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 3 €

Hotels ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 7 €

Hotels ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 10 €

Category Studio/apartments in hotels 1-4* – 1.5 €

*The fee amount is indicated per “room/night” of the corresponding category.
